Simple Steps to Making Risotto

Gather Ingredients: You'll need Arborio rice (or another short-grain rice suitable for risotto), chicken or vegetable broth, onion or shallots, garlic, white wine (optional), butter, Parmesan cheese, and any additional ingredients you'd like to add, such as mushrooms, peas, or asparagus.
Prepare Ingredients: Chop the onion or shallots finely and mince the garlic. Grate the Parmesan cheese and prepare any additional ingredients by washing, trimming, and chopping as needed.
