‘Pink Drink’ Italian Soda
An Italian Soda is a classic, refreshing non-alcoholic drink that’s easy to make with just a few simple ingredients. This strawberry refresher (to replicate - but elevate - the famous pink drink) is one of our absolute favorite treats! Made with homemade strawberry syrup, you can enjoy your favorite refresher at home, anytime and on a dime!
If you don’t want to make your own syrup, Torani Strawberry syrup is great, too. But I highly recommend making your own. Mmmm-mm!
What you'll need:
2 fl oz strawberry syrup (*see below)
2 fl oz Tazo Passion Iced Tea Concentrate
1 cup Silk Original Coconut Milk
1 fl oz club soda
Ice
Garnish with freeze dried strawberries
How to make it:
Fill a glass with ice. Spoon over the strawberry syrup, tea and milk. Stir and adjust to taste. Top with a splash of club soda and enjoy!
Garnish with fresh or freeze dried strawberries.
If you’re not big on tea, this is delicious with a splash of tart cherry juice, too!
Homemade Strawberry Syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup strawberries, washed and cubed
Add water and sugar into a saucepan. On medium heat, allow the sugar to dissolve into the water.
Add in (about 15 cubed) berries and continue to simmer for at least 10 minutes until the berries are soft. Muddle the berries well.
Remove from the heat and let the syrup sit for another 5 minutes.
Strain and muddle the mixture through a mesh sieve into a mason jar – keeping the juice and discarding the berries. Let the mixture completely cool before using.
Store refrigerated in a mason jar. It will stay fresh for 7-10 days in the fridge.
