Marinara Sauce
This is the only marinara you’ll ever reach for. It’s fresh, light, and incredibly delicious on homemade pizza, or dipping with garlic bread.
What you’ll need:
28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp salt (celtic, himalayan, kosher, etc.)
2 large sprigs basil (about 1/2 cup)
1 clove garlic, peeled and smashed (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp onion powder
How to make it:
In a medium bowl mix everything together. Stir until the oil is incorporated into the tomatoes. Let the sauce sit for 30+ minutes to let the flavors meld.
Use the sauce as desired on your favorite pizzas.
Sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Freeze for up to 3 months.
