Honey Mustard Ham & Cheese Criossants

These sandwiches are a knockout. Perfect for a weekend brunch, or hosting a gathering to celebrate. Easy to prepare and guaranteed to hit the spot.

What you'll need: Makes 12

1/4 cup butter, room temp
2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
1 Tbl honey
2 green onions (or chives), finely chopped
12 croissants
3/4 pound thinly sliced deli ham
12 slices Swiss cheese
1 egg + 1 tsp water, whipped for egg wash
1 tsp poppy seeds
pinch of salt and pepper to taste

How to make it:

Preheat the oven to 375° F.

In a small bowl, mix together the room temp butter, Dijon mustard, honey and green onions. Add salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

Slice the croissants in half lengthwise. Spread on the butter mixture on the inside of the buns. Break a slice of cheese in half and lay each piece over the spread. Layer up the ham, and close the sandwich together.

Glaze the tops with an egg wash. This will help the bun crisp up a little bit and turn golden brown. Sprinkle the poppy seeds on top.

Put the sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese begins to melt.

Serve warm and enjoy!
