Homemade Chocolate Syrup

Vanilla ice cream in a glass cup with chocolate sauce being poured over it, next to a spoon and a striped cloth napkin on a marble surface.

This chocolate syrup is free from junk but not the flavor. It’s perfect for chocolate milk, add to your lattes to make a mocha, and drizzle over ice cream, cheesecake, or any other treat you want to elevate. Homemade chocolate syrup is our new favorite add-on!

What you'll need: Makes 1 cup
2 cups sugar (coconut or cane)
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 cup water
1 tsp vanilla

How to make it:
Bring all of these ingredients except the vanilla to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat.

Once it reaches a full boil, remove from heat and add vanilla. Let completely cool.

Notes: Store in an airtight mason jar in the fridge for up to one month.
