Dairy Free Hot Cocoa Mix

Homemade hot cocoa is way easy to make, kid-approved delicious, and only has 5 ingredients. Make this ahead of the holiday season for all your cozy-by-the-fire nights.

What you'll need:
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup coconut milk powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla bean powder

How to make it:
Whisk all ingredients together in a medium mixing bowl. Store in an airtight container or glass jar in the cupboard.

When you're ready to make your hot cocoa, add 2 Tablespoons to ~10 ounces of hot water, or hot df milk for a creamier version. Whisk until dissolved.

Tip: To make a large batch, pour pre-measured milk and cocoa powder into a small saucepan. Over medium heat, whisk together until warmed, about 1 minute just as the edges are beginning to bubble, stirring frequently. Do not scald the milk. This will also help dissolve the sugar for a smoother consistency.
